Digging through boxes at the studio I stumbled upon a treasure trove of old drawings. As a kid I wasn’t allowed to collect comics so I had to resort to making my own. This is just one of the carefully designed “teams” complete with stat graphs. Looking at these now I can’t help but see a series of mutated clones with a creative array of handicaps awesome superpowers!

Monster Drawing Rally Timeslot

I’ll be drawing at the monster drawing rally from 5-6pm on August 28th at 1708 Gallery.

Invite all your friends! Tell them there will be mystical beasts signing autographs and Led Zeppelin cover bands playing only songs inspired by The Lord Of The Rings. Tell there will be orcs playing ocarinas and ring wraiths with the shakes. Make up fabled lost cities and incite them to riot! Build fantastic portals to fantastical worlds! Promise them access to all the socks they have ever lost in the dryer.

Tell them anything you want.

Monster Drawing Rally is a performance, a happening, a bonanza, a rollicking good time of art making, kid activities, food and drinks! The event will consist of 5 one-hour shifts with several artists working simultaneously per hour. Audiences will have the rare opportunity to watch art come to life and purchase complete works on paper for $65 each from more than 60 artists.
